All Women Are Mothers and Sisters to Others, Don’t Leave a Single One Out of the Special Celebration of Mother’s Day.
John19 26-27 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
I remember being at a Senior Citizens Center when Mothers were being recognized. Or so I believed. After about 5 minutes or less I observed one lady with such a sad look on her face. I took her aside and asked her if she was feeling well. She said she was just feeling sad because she was the only lady that was not part of the celebration. I felt for her having been hurt so badly and in front of all the others about. A bit later I privately spoke to the director of the facility and asked if their was something she could do to rectify the situation of part of the senior citizens community family. We wanted no one to be left out of the group. She proceeded to acknowledge the person and apologize for having missed her during the giving out of the little gifts that had been given to all the other ladies. Sometimes the young act in motherly ways to the old. We need to remember to uplift one another.
In our church I try to emphasize that all females are mothers and sisters to others. We nurture and encourage one another. We try to help everyone, male or female, young and old. It is something that God put in us. Men do this too. They are there as father and brother figures for one another, as needed.
Jesus is our example. We should do as his word instructs you and I. We are to be care givers to others in need. God bless and keep you in the palm of his hand.
