Peace, Joy, Rest and Love All in One Day

PEACE, JOY, REST, AND LOVE ALL IN ONE DAY

PSALM 16:11   Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

EXODUS 20:8-11   8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

1 PETER 2:21   For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

GENESIS 2:1-3   1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

EZEKIEL 20:12   Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

ISAIAH 56:1-6   1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

NUMBERS 6:26   The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

JOHN 16:33   These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Time That Belongs to God

TIME THAT BELONGS TO GOD

LEVITICUS 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

NEHEMIAH 13:15-22 15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. 16 There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. 17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day? 18 Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath. 19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day. 20 So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath. 22 And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.

HEBREWS 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

10 Commandments of Love

10 COMMANDMENTS OF LOVE

1 JOHN 5:2-3   2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

1 JOHN 4:7-8   7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 JOHN 3:22-23   22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

HEBREWS 8:10   For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

JOHN 14:15   If ye love me, keep my commandments.

What Is Sin? Answer For Sin.

WHAT IS SIN?     ANSWER FOR SIN.

1 JOHN 3:4   Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

JAMES 2:10,12   10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

ECCLESIASTES 12:13   Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

ACTS 5:29   Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

1 JOHN 5:17   All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

ROMANS 4:15   Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

1 JOHN 2:3-4   3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

ACTS 22:16   And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

ROMANS 5:20   Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

1 JOHN 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21   For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

ROMANS 6:23   For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21   For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Truth or False?

TRUTH OR FALSE?

If I believe something that is false, I will be disappointed.  How do I know the thing I believe in is truth or false?  If I seek with all my heart, I will find it.  If not totally committed to finding the truth, I will fall short of obtaining it.  We must seek it with all our heart.  While we each are to help one another find truth, everyone is held accountable to ask, seek, knock for ourselves. No one can do it for me, I am held accountable at life’s end.

It is not about religion in and of itself, it never was.  It is about taking Jesus Christ as our savior, believing on his name alone that saves us from our sins.  One may not believe the truth, but truth remains truth none the less. All other names, all good works, all the religion one may try to obtain have no power in saving anyone from their sins.

One thing this world does not want is the truth, although it claims otherwise. Persecution is taking place all over the world every moment of our lives.  People are living and dying to tell the truth so that others too may know “truth”. The statement above offends many. Still, I must witness truth as truth.  It does matter what we believe, though some will say “It does not matter anyway”. How can it not, when our eternity is affected by what we believe and live?  Therefore, I care if you hear the truth.  Jesus said to go out and witness to the ends of the earth.  If we love God, how can we sit back and not love our fellow mankind as well? If we love one another, we cannot help but desire to lead others to Jesus Christ.

When serious about something I become involved in it.  I cannot sit around watching and waiting for others to get things done.  What I can do will vary.  I use what the Lord gives me to work with.  We each are given abilities and talents to work with.  Prayer is powerful, Jesus our example, prayed continuously.   A person paralyzed in bed can help as well.  They can pray and give verbal encouragement if they are able to talk to others.  Even the act of sharing a smile lifts our spirit. How much seemingly “powerless” can one be than a dead person?  Yet the dead witnessed, when they were brought back to life, as we read in our bible.  No one is without a “gift” to use in spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I would not want or expect anyone to take what another person says to be truth, as truth. That of course includes me, myself, I.  I pray that we each continue to find the truth, the whole truth, and nothing less than truth.  False beliefs cannot save, Jesus Christ alone saves.  And then only if we want Jesus Christ above all else this world has to offer. Truthfully, the world has nothing to offer, except pain and sorrow.  Jesus Christ came to this world to live and die that you and I may be saved by believing on his name, repenting of our sins and to live and die for Jesus Christ.  Go and ask, seek, and knock.  The answer is there for each of us to find.  God loves each one of us.  It is our sin God hates, not us.

We read in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  Now that is the truth, the whole truth!  Please, go and ask, seek, and knock.

Use Your God Given GIft

USE YOUR GOD GIVEN GIFT

EPHESIANS 4:11-13   11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-11  1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

ROMANS 1:11   For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

1CORINTHIANS 12:31   But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:1,12   1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

1 TIMOTHY 4:14   Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

2 TIMOTHY 1:6   Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

JAMES 1:17   Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
