THANK YOU GOOD SHEPHERD JESUS

1 PETER 2:25  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ.

HEBREWS 13:20-21  20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

JOHN 10:11  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

JOHN 10:14-15  14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 …  I lay down my life for the sheep.

MATTHEW 20:28  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

ISAIAH 53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

DEVINE INSPIRATION, PRICELESS

How did your day go today? Mine was the same old, same old. Nothing especially different or unusual. I was inspired, however, to make a lasagna casserole today differently than in the past. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be an improvement or a disaster.

As I pulled back the aluminum foil covering of my finished baked lasagna my husband quietly indignantly explained to me my “dish” was not supposed to look like it did. He asked me “shouldn’t a person have to slice out a helping of lasagna rather than spoon out a soupy mess? I had to be honest and agree that he was correct on his understanding.

He said he was not eating that! And I said “Well I could just toss the whole 3 casserole dishes of lasagna in the trash. But that was not going to happen. I was determined to at least try out the weird looking “experiment” before throwing it out. I then “spooned” it out of the container into my waiting bowl. Now I was not eager to do this, but I must, for the sake of at least looking like it might have a small chance of being eatable.

Eating the full bowl of my “experiment” I’d rate it a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10, maybe. And now I have a couple months of ready to eat meals all to myself, not that I’m unwilling to share them with my husband, mind you. I just don’t think he is going to take me up on the offer.

Maybe I should be regretful of having tried a different way of making my casserole as I did today. But I’m not. I learned not to make my lasagna like this in the future, ever. I will not be wondering if I missed the chance of improving future lasagna casseroles,

It didn’t harm anyone, not too much. My husband did decide to make his own supper of a baloney sandwich with some leftovers from the refrigerator. And suggested I might learn to do the same as he in the future rather than experimenting as I had today.

It could have been a different story had I changed my experiment in a different manner though. And I might do that in the future, the distant future.

How about you? Are you willing to try something new and different? Are you up to risking a possible disaster as well as possible success? What do you want to change in your day-to-day life? What are the gains or losses you face if you should or should not take the risks?

I pray that I change a lot of things in my lifetime that I have left here in this lifetime, however long that might be. My human nature, you see, needs a lot of changes. A little more spice in some areas, a little more flavor all around. A lot of salt, good salt. “Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” One thing that was excellent about my lasagna casserole today, is that is was good and hot. And that is another thing I pray to be in my spiritual life. Revelation 3:15-17  15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

God is good, I was inspired by a seemingly failure today to witness what God has done for me today. Blessings to you and yours.
