WHAT IS EXPECTED IN MARRIAGE?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROMANS 12:10   Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GENESIS 2:24   Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MATTHEW 19:5,6,9   5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 PETER 3:1   Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 CORINTHIANS 7:34   There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPHESIANS 4:32   And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPHESIANS 5:21-33   21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PROVERBS 31:11-12   11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.   12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

COLOSSIANS 3:18-19   18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 PETER 4:8    And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PROVERBS 21:19   It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 CORINTHIANS 7:10-13   10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
